Available distributions

New page

===Available distributions===
This section may need to be revised.

Right now, the Unix "distribution package" is NOT available on the website; and as a matter of fact we have not created any such package for years.

And the source packages we DO provide are tarballs of the repo, which do not contain a file named
INSTALL
.

Before preparing the v3.8.0 release candidate, we need to decide whether we want to provide such files again with the release, and if so, where. This section of the page then needs to be modified accordingly.
